Details of the joint between the S-IVb stage and the interstage. The silver "arrow" shaped object is the Auxillery Propulsion System (APS) which was used to point the stage in the desired direction. These units differ from the ones installed on the S-IVb stages destined for Saturn V's: they are smaller. The square "window" was cut in the interstage to facilitate viewing the J-2 engine.
